How to ask for a correction.
Email corrections@successguru.com with the page URL, the exact sentence, what is wrong, and a link to a primary source. We correct facts. We do not change a score because someone disagrees with the opinion, and we do not accept payment to change one.
What to include
- The page URL.
- The exact sentence.
- What is wrong, in a sentence or two.
- A link to a primary source: a court or regulator, the person's own site, a peer-reviewed paper, or a major news outlet. Wikipedia alone is not enough for a negative claim.
- The date you checked that source.
What we do with it
If the sentence is factually wrong, we fix it and date the change on the page. If you are the person rated and you deny an allegation, we will describe that denial as a denial, next to the underlying source, when we can confirm the message came from you.
Opinion lines can stay even when a fact nearby is corrected. A high score can stay high. A low score can stay low. The rubric is on the method page.
What not to send
Do not send account numbers, medical records, or copies of identity documents. This address is for factual corrections. It is not customer support for the people we rate, and it is not a place to file a buyer story. Buyer stories are not open.
